A drone is an unmanned aerial vehicle operated by a radio remote control device or a self-contained program control device. The material selection for the drone shell mainly depends on the type and design requirements of the drone. Common shell materials are required to have properties such as flame retardancy, ultraviolet resistance, wind and water resistance, and corrosion resistance. Today, the modification plastic experts from Qingdao Zhongxinhua Mei will introduce the flame-retardant PC/ASA alloy material used for the drone shell.

Why can the flame-retardant PC/ASA alloy material become an ideal material for the drone shell?

Firstly, during the flight of a drone, it may encounter electrical failures, battery overheating and other situations due to various reasons, which may lead to a fire . The flame-retardant PC/ASA alloy material produced by Qingdao Zhongxinhua Mei has excellent flame-retardant properties, and its flame-retardant grade can reach UL94-V0 level. It will extinguish immediately after the fire source is removed, which can effectively slow down the spread of the fire and reduce the fire risk, providing an important guarantee for the safety of the drone.

Drones often need to work in various harsh outdoor environments, such as high temperature, low temperature, humidity, and ultraviolet radiation. The flame-retardant PC/ASA alloy material produced by Qingdao Zhongxinhua Mei has excellent weather resistance. It can be used for a long time under different climatic conditions without obvious aging, fading, cracking and other phenomena, ensuring the stability of the appearance and performance of the drone shell.

The flame-retardant PC/ASA alloy material produced by Qingdao Zhongxinhua Mei has good mechanical properties, high strength and high rigidity, and excellent impact resistance. During the flight, takeoff and landing of the drone, it is inevitable to be subjected to collisions and impacts. This material can withstand a large external force without being easily broken, protecting the internal electronic components and equipment from damage and extending the service life of the drone.
